Luxury Bohemian Wedding, Tunnels Beaches Devon

Harriet and Scott had an intimate destination wedding at Tunnels Beaches in North Devon. From our first call with Harriet we knew this was going to be a beautiful wedding and she had a clear idea of the look they wanted. The brief was Elegant Bohemian with neutral tones and dried florals. It was also important that there were llots of personal touches throughout the day which we love.

Elegant COASTAL WEDDING STYLING TUNNELS BEACHES DEVON

Harriet and Scott said their vows in a stunning beachside location overlooking a private beach. The flowers were a huge part of the styling and florists Pumpkin and Pye created plenty of impact with the floral installations using dried flowers in neutral tonnes with lots of pampas grass. This worked so well against the darker tones of the dramatic backdrop.

The huge floral arch framed the ceremony and 2 gold flower stands were placed at the aisle entrance. Our handmade macrame chair backs lined the aisle.

The order of the day and a cute drawing of the couple were printed on card fans designed by Millie Stone. These were such a good idea as the sun was shining and they got a lot of use!

Millie also created signage for the rest of the day which we styled with vintage vases, candles, wicker tabled and of coarse more pampas grass!

Luxury Bohemian Table Decor

The view from the dining room at tunnels beaches is stunning and when working on the design we wanted to make sure we did not detract from the rugged coastline. We decided to create lots of interest rather than one large arrangement in the middle of the table. To get this look we layered textures and had mixed heights throughout the design. With neutral table runners as the base we added candles, bud vases with dried flowers and touches of gold to add a luxe feel.

The table setting was kept simple with seagrass placemats and textured linen napkin. Elegant gold calligraphy name cards from Millie stone finished the look.

We moved the gold flower stands from the ceremony to behind the top table. During the speeches the large floral arrangements looked amazing and also framed the photos. The macrame chair backs were also moved from the ceremony to make the top table feel extra special.

Surf board guestbook, a tattoo station and a Naked cake

As an alternative to a guestbook friends and family signed their names on a retro wooden surfboard decorated with dried flower and pampas grass. This was a lovely personal touch as it reflected Scotts love of surfing. After dinner guests were treated to a three layer naked cake made by Divine Wedding Cakes and could even adorn themselves with a tattoo with the couples face!
